The catalytic carbon media filters out a wide range of tastes, odors and chemicals, including chlorine, herbicides, & pesticides AND hydrogen sulfide. The KDF 85 media filters out iron AND hydrogen sulfide, which is not removed by the KDF 55 media. Thus, the catalytic carbon combined with the KDF-85 results in a fantastic filter for ridding your water of hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell).
The radial flow carbon filter has a 20 micron outer sediment shell to remove large particulates, sand, and sediment. It is then filled with high quality granular activated carbon (GAC) to remove a wide range of tastes, odors and chemicals, including chlorine, chloramines, herbicides, pesticides, and more!

Product Description
Remove a wide range of contaminants with a single system! The radial flow carbon and catalytic carbon/KDF85 filters used in this system are capable of removing sediment, chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, organics, MTBE, THM, iron, mercury, lead, and many other heavy metals with minimal flow restriction. It also removes most other chemicals, tastes and odors, including hydrogen sulfide, and is an excellent system for well water filtration.
2 canister system provides cleaner, safer water, without electricity or waste water. Complete system includes 1" NPT inlet/outlet filter housings with pressure relief valves, mounting bracket, filters, and filter housing wrench.
High Flow "Big Blue" Filters - Larger 4.5" diameter filters provide more surface area and fewer flow restrictions than standard sized filters, allowing for higher service flow rates.
DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours.

20 inch big blue house filter
Had my well water tested, to find out what I needed. Found this filter system, had it installed 2 yrs ago. Wow it removed all the rotten egg smell and the red water. This filter system is wonderful. Highly recommend it.
