Designed for homes with 3-4 bathrooms and 5-7 people, and/or homes with flows matching system capacities
No potassium permanganate or any other chemicals are required for operation of the system, it simply backwashes with water.
Causes red/orange staining with levels as low as 0.3 ppm. Treats both ferrous (clear water or dissolved) and ferric (red water or oxidized) iron.
The cause of rotten egg odor. Incorrectly referred to as sulfur most of the time.
Can cause black slime buildup in toilet tanks and may impart a metallic taste to the water
Treats flow rates up to 15 gallons per minute - See More Info tab for details
Requires a minimum of 12 GPM available for backwashing - See More Info tab for details
The digital control head provides LCD display and touchpad controls, allowing for simple, user-friendly interation. This is combines with the reliability and durability of the automatic Fleck 2510SXT control valve.
Durable, high quality polyglass tank made by a trusted name in tank manufacturing
High quality, low cost media for removal of iron, hydrogen sulfide (sulfur), and manganese.
Simple system connections and detailed installation instructions allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. For those who prefer to leave the work to a professional, most plumbers can install the system in 1-2 hours.
Iron is a common problem in homes today. It causes red staining on fixtures, as well as turning clothes and sometimes even your hair a reddish orange color. Iron bacteria is sometimes present in water with iron, creating a slimy build up in standing water (such as your toilet tank) and can smell like rotting vegetation. Hydrogen Sulfide (mistakenly called sulfur quite frequently) is easily detected by the presence of a "rotten egg" odor, and is sometimes associated with yellow staining. Manganese is most often seen as a black slimy substance that builds in standing water, and may impart a metallic taste to the water.
The Pyrolox system provides moderate removal levels at a low price. A common system used by local companies, this system is a great choice for those with lower contaminant levels and those looking to stretch their budget. Chemical free performance add to the value, reducing time and money spent on maintenance and chemicals.
Controlled by the Fleck 2510SXT digital control head, this system automatically backwashes. The backwash process uses no chemicals, simply using the force of water to clean the media and flush the contaminants down the drain. Made by Fleck, the #1 manufacturer of control heads in the US, the digital control head provides LCD display and touchpad controls, allowing for simple, user-friendly interation. The 2510 valve also offers dual drive motors, providing dedicated control for piston movement and system timing. This allows for stronger piston control, fewer parts (since there are no connecting gears required) and longer, more reliable operation.

Service flow rate is the rate (in gallons per minute) at which the media can effectively treat your water. The lower number is the manufacturers recommended rates, the higher number represents rates at which successful treatment has been accomplished the majority of the time. Service flow rates are based on the manufacturers recommendation for maximum contaminant removal for the media alone, lower contaminant levels MAY be effectively treated at higher flow rates.
Backwash Flow Rates
The backwash flow rate is the minimum rate that MUST be available to ensure proper backwashing and adequate media life. The higher number is the manufacturers recommend rate, the lower number represents rates with which adequate media life was maintained. While lower flows can be used and MAY provide adequate results, using less than the recommended flows WILL void the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Warranties on the tank and control valve will remain unaffected.
