Product Description
Carbon filtration is a great addition to any home, providing cleaner, better tasting water in just about any situation. Backwashing tank systems provide all the benefits of carbon filtration, without the constant maintenance and cost associated with cartridge filters.
Homes on city water will enjoy chlorine and chloramine removal, eliminating a harmful chemical and preventing respiratory problems that may be associated with chlorinated water. Homes on well water will benefit from the removal of herbicides and pesticides that can find their way into water supplies. In both cases, carbon filtration improves the appeal of water, removing tastes and odors that can discourage healthy drinking water habits.

Service flow rate is the manufacturers recommendation for maximum removal of all contaminants at a constant flow. Intermittent flow rate, lower contaminant levels and/or fewer contaminants MAY allow higher treatment flow rates. In most applications intermittent flow rates of 2-3 times the rated flow rate MAY be possible.
Backwash Flow Rates
The backwash flow rate is the minimum rate that MUST be available to ensure proper backwashing and adequate media life. While lower flows can be used and MAY provide adequate results, using less than the recommended flows WILL void the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Warranties on the tank and control valve will remain unaffected.
