DI Filter
4.5" diameter Big Blue filters outperform standard 2.5" filters
Deionization strips out 99% of contaminants, and dual DI filters will provide effective 99.9% treatment and optimum filter life.
Because DI strips everything out of the water, when used alone they will exhaust very quickly, so an RO system is recommended to reduce the TDS and allow the DI filters to remove any remains.
Large NPT connection for minimal flow restriction
Provides simple pressure let off to reduce water spray when changing filters
Simple in/out connection and installation instructions allow most home owners to install these systems on their own
Product Description
The two canister system ensures the purest water while providing the most efficiency. These 20" high flow "Big Blue" filters (larger 4.5" diameter) provide even more surface area and fewer flow restrictions than standard sized filters (2.5" diameter) or 10" Big Blue systems, allowing for even higher service flow rates. We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge!
The dual DI filters provide effective 99.9% contaminant removal, and offers the most efficient use of the DI filters. As DI filters start to exhaust, TDS begins leaking through. On single filter setups this is the point you would replace the filter, even though it still has some treatment capacity. On the dual filter setup, the second filter will catch any TDS leakage and allow for complete exhaustion of the first filter. Once the second filter begins to leak TDS, you simply remove the first filter, place the second filter in the first slot, and put a new filter in the second slot, ready to keep treating!
High Flow "Big Blue" Filters - Larger 4.5" diameter filters provide more surface area and fewer flow restrictions than standard sized filters, allowing for higher service flow rates.
DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours.
