Product Description
Carbon filtration is a great addition to any home, providing cleaner, better tasting water in just about any situation. Using catalytic carbon allows for the additional filtration of iron, as well as much longer life when removing hydrogen sulfide (sulfur). Backwashing tank systems provide all the benefits of carbon filtration, without the constant maintenance and cost associated with cartridge filters.
Designed with iron and hydrogen sulfide removal in mind, catalytic carbon does an excellent job of removing both contaminates. In addition, catalytic carbon is better suited for chloramine removal than standard activated carbon. As with standard carbon, a wide range of other tastes, chemicals, and odors are filtered out as well.
Controlled by the Fleck 5600SXT digital control head, this system automatically backwashes. The backwash process simply forces water rapidly through the system in reverse direction, lifting the media and flushing accumulated particulates down the drain. Made by Fleck, the #1 manufacturer of control heads in the US, the digital control head offers an easy to use LCD display and touchpad controls as well as shorter, more efficient backwashes.
