The Fleck 2510SXT is one of the best control heads found on water softeners in the US, it's easy LCD display and touchpad controls make it easy to use. The 2510 feautures a dual motor design for a longer lasting control head. The advanced features and the reduced water use provide top of the line results. Backed by a 1-year warranty, this head will provide long lasting performance as well.
Timer control regenerates based on timed basis, allowing you to set regeneration frequency to a number of days or to specific days of the week. This is ideal for filter tank systems that need regular backwashing to prevent media fouling and flow restriction.
Air injection piston creates an air bubble in the top of your tank so that when the water passes through it, contaminants are more easily oxidized. Therefore, the removal capacity of the media is greatly increased. If you are upgrading from a standard head to an air injection head, a larger media tank IS MANDATORY.
Digital SXT controller provides advanced options through an easy to use LCD display and touchpad controls. Digital controller reduces the time used for backwash, minimizing down time and reducing water use. At a glance display shows you the current time of day and how many days remaining until regeneration, as well as letting you know if a regeneration is scheduled. Full regeneration cycle control allows you to adjust all the parts of regeneration cycle for maximum control and performance.
Simple, time tested design uses a piston to control water flow. This allows for reliable performance and reduces maintenance cost and time.
Quick connecting bypass or yoke connections make it easy to disconnect the system from your plumbing should the need arise. NOTE: This head REQUIRES a Fleck yoke or bypass valve, if you do not have one you will need to add one in the order options above

AFW service and products
AFW has awesome customer support. I get excellent advice and can have long "what to do" conversations when I need it. While it might be possible to save a few bucks searching the internet for other options, I always end up going back to AFW due to their excellent phone/email availability and expertise. Their good service is a bit unusual in this day and age. Anyway, their filox iron filters have solved my iron issues in 2 houses for the last 6 years. Installation was easy DIY and saved me 2k (per house) over having a Culligan person handle it (simple install).

Fleck 2510SXT Digital Air Injection Control Head
Fast service, appears to be working well, good sale price. Should have been wrapped in plastic bag as cardboard box particles were imbedded in the silicone grease on threads, seal and tank pipe socket (the silicone was a good idea, not protecting it from contamination not so much)

This is a very good product and gives years of flawless service. The shipping department could use some upgrades. The first head was incorrect and the second one was damaged. However, the customer service was fantastic and the problems were quickly resolved. I've done business with these folks for several years and will continue to do so.
