3/4-inch male threads can connect to PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, brass, and any other 1-inch NPT connections. Thread sealant is necessary when making connections to prevent leaks.
The hex nipple is 1 1/2-inch in total length and has 5/8-inch of thread on each side of the hex.
The hex nipple is constructed of nylon for a durable connection that is resistant to organic solvents, weather resistant, temperature resistant, and impact resistant.

Nylon has good resistance to organic solvents, oils and gasoline. Good strength at high temperatures. Cold and hot-water applications. Longtime weathering resistance. Good impact resistance, both single and repeated. Not recommended for use with ammonium, boric acid, calcium, sulfuric acid, or hydrochloric acid. F.D.A. listed. Also N.S.F. listed.
