Quality Product
System was pretty simple to setup. The instructions for programming was very vague. There was plenty of additional settings the instruction video and manual did not cover. Still don't know if the those are set correctly. Other than that the system works very well. I give four stars due to the lack of good instruction with the head programming.

air in pipes
I realize this is an air injection system, but it just doesn't seem like I should still be getting air spurting from the faucets every time they are turned on and when the toilet is flushed. It has been in operation for about a month. Other than that, the water appear sparkling clean.

Easy to follow instructions, one hour to assemble the filter. It has been installed for about a month and I am already seeing a difference in the sinks and toilets. No more rust stains and the laundry is much cleaner
Excellent knowledgeable service staff, Mike was able to answer all my questions and make excellent recommendations.

Air Injection Platinum 10 System
I purchased a home in Hill City SD which has a private well. My home had a 25 year old water softener. After a water test it was determined my well has 10 ppm of ferrous iron. The softener would bring it down to 9ppm. If you draw water from the hydrant in my front yard the water has a terrible mineral smell (not rotten egg). So I called my local water softener company and they came out and analyzed my water and informed me I would need a heavy backwash softener with a separate tank for salt. 4K was the quote for the entire system. After talking to the rep who insisted that a softener was the only way to remove ferrous iron, something he said stuck in my mind. Ferrous iron is a liquid iron that doesn't solid until it is oxygenated. I started researching filtration systems and came across this Air Injection System. I read all the reviews carefully, especially the reviews that claimed the change was instant and almost bottle quality water out of the tap. I was very skeptical but decided what the heck and ordered the unit anyway. After some minor plumbing modifications, I installed the unit in 3 hours. After the unit went through it's initial recharging cycle I ran water through the tap to get the old stuff out of the line. I instantly noticed a huge difference. We no longer buy water to drink or for tea, coffee, etc. To date this unit is a God send, my private well water problems are no more. Lastly, I ordered on a Monday (no special shipping) and it arrived a few days later. Ohio to South Dakota is no hop skip and a jump so I am very pleased. One note of caution, do not attempt to lift the bags of media and dump them in the funnel. The tank is very tall and the bags are heavy. Get a scooper and scoop at least half a bag then dump.

Amazed with platinum 10
We own a home in northern Minnesota. Specifically, in what is known as the iron range. Our well water came in at 26 PPM for iron. I purchased the platinum 10 system with hopes that it would be able to make a small difference in the function of our appliances and the quality of our water overall. We have had the system up and running for about 2 weeks now, and the results are unbelievable. Our toilets are no longer stained orange and our shower is back to a gleaming white. For the first time since I've lived in my home, I made macaroni and cheese and used The water out of the tap. My children did not know that the water used to cook their noodles was not from the store-bought gallons. I estimate we will save up words of $1,000 a year using this system for our family of five. In addition, the wear and tear on our appliances will be greatly reduced. We purchase a new water heater about every 2 to 3 years in our area due to build up and deterioration because of the high iron content. Hopefully, this will allow us to invest those dollars somewhere else in our home.

No more rotten egg smell
Purchased to replace a chemical injection pump and tank to handle a heavy hydrogen sulfide issue with my well water. The chemical injection worked but was a maintenance nightmare. This air injection unit was easy to install, worked to eliminate the rotten egg smell and is install and forget. I got my weekends back.

Platinum Iron Filter
Not thrilled with this purchase. The instructions stated the unit might not come with gravel, so I installed it without gravel. 3 days later the gravel shows up. What a nightmare. AFW won't proivde any help other than advising me to suck out the Filox with a vaccuum and put the gravel in. If anyone else can help please contact me. --** this customer got the vortech tank, gravel is not needed with the vortech tank. We explained to the customer that we send it on all those systems anyway and there are 3 options, 1. use it without since the vortech tank does not require it. 2. put it in on top of the media, when it backwashes, it will settle to the bottom. 3. remove the media from the tank, then put gravel in and replace the media back into the tank.

Air Injection Platinum 10
After having a couple of local filtration companies give us a quote of over $4500. I spent a little time online researching to see if there was anything i could install myself. After talking to the AFW Techs and sending them my water test results we decided on the Platinum 10. We received our unit a couple of weeks ago. Shipping was very fast. The install was a piece of cake. For the first time since we have been in our new house we are able to drink our well water and take a bath without it leaving a ring in the tub.. This has to be one of the best investments we have ever made. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it a year ago when we moved in
