Product Description
Highly efficient Filter-Ag Plus media is a clinoptilolite media providing for the advanced reduction and filtration of suspended matter and for clearing up turbidity. The light weight of the media allows for high service flow rates and lower backwash rates. Replacing sand or standard Filter-Ag with Filter-Ag Plus media in existing installations may increase filter capacity up to 100% (when replacing sand). Amount of media needed can be determined by tank sizes below

Service flow rate is the manufacturers recommendation for maximum contaminant removal at a constant flow for media alone. Intermittent flow rate and/or lower contaminant levels MAY allow higher treatment flow rates.
Backwash Flow Rates
The backwash flow rate is the minimum rate that MUST be available to ensure proper backwashing and adequate media life. While lower flows can be used and MAY provide adequate results, media life may be significantly reduced.
