Upgraded 1.5 cubic Foot (48k) On Demand Whole Home Water Softener with 10% Crosslink Resin, Pentair tank

Great install manual and programming instructions. Setup myself, but had someone sweat on a 3/4" male connection on existing copper pipe. Easier to understand than the unit I was renting through my local water company. I used a 3/4" fip to 1" fip falcon water heater hose so there wasn't any inside diameter restriction as opposed to a sharkbite hose. You can tell there's some internal diameter restriction on the plastic bypass part but not as bad as the metal bypass from what I heard. There's no reduction in water flow for my house from the unit, but I only have it for the hot water side. Unit runs great and easy to understand. I've only had it installed about a month though. So far so good.

It's too early to tell but so far so good. However, I was very disappointed that the corrugated box the heavy main resin tank was in was NOT double or triple wall (even just the upper or lower portions/flaps). This tank very obviously came out of the packaging and was all scratched upon arriving (I sent pictures of the packaging & labels). The carrier just put the very heavy tank back in the tattered flimsy box and retaped the box with a lot of tape on the top and bottom. I e-mailed and received an apology and a response that the tanks are durable and as long as no actual cracks go past the surface layer of wraps, the scuffs to the tank and plastic insert into the threaded top, will not hurt the tank. Never having a H2O softener before and paying to have someone install it, I sure HOPE I have no problems due to this damage that occurred during shipping! I e-mailed about this issue hoping that perhaps the company would look into sturdier future packaging for this very heavy large tank because I would like to purchase more units for other properties of mine. I will wait and see how I like this unit before even considering to purchase more.

I did a lot of research and settled on the Fleck 5600 SXT. Then did a lot of research on who to buy from. After going through lots of review of different suppliers I finally settled on Abundant Flow Water because of their many positive reviews. One reason I also liked them was that they offered the 1" MNTP connection which a lot of other suppliers didn't offer. Also, they offered the 10% crosslink resin which the many others didn't. Ordering was very easy. We received the shipment in two boxes about 10 days later. The resin take box was a bit roughed up from the shipper but pretty well packed inside the box so no damage. Setting up was pretty straight forward and not difficult. Got the system up and running now without any problems. The only thing I think that would have been better is if they could supply the 1/2 " ID discharge tubing with the system, which you need to buy yourself right now, although pretty readily available at the big box guys. All in all pretty happy with this system and the company that supplied it.

The water softener shipped quickly and following the instructions, a straight forward install. It works great and I'm a happy customer!

Well engineered system and easy to assemble & install. I'm glad I got the stainless bypass valve to shorten the assembly as it's a little awkward to position the valve controls facing out but not have the rear pipe connections push the whole thing out far from the wall. Only installed for ~2 weeks but is working well and I really like the totalized flow tracking to see how we're consuming the water vs. the softening capacity.

Great product, arrived in a couple of days. Set up was a breeze. Had to read instructions a couple of times to program, however works great. This is a Best Buy.

Arrived in a couple of days. I completed the installation within a couple hours, and found it to be very straight forward without the need for any special tools or skills. Make sure before you begin, you know where you are going to tie in to your house water system, and the type of plumbing you are going to connect to so you know what you are going to use to connect your house plumbing to the water softener. My connection was to 3/4” copper plumbing, and a pair of press to connect flex lines worked great. The instructions were easy to follow and programming was painless.

Very happy with the water softener set up and function. Went together easily and after the initial backwash immediate could tell the difference in the water hardness. Very pleased with the product.
